DELHI----The heart of India
Delhi the capital city of India is located to the northern part of the Indian subcontinent. One of the most important cities in the history of our country, Delhi has been an important place politically as well as economically. Most of the beautiful historical monuments of India are located in Delhi like the magnificent Red fort, Qutub Minar, India Gate, Lotus temple, Akshardham temple, Humayun's tomb and an unending list.
The Iron pillar is wonder striking as it has been constructed in the ancient period but hasn't rusted till now.
During their rule, the British empire have gifted Delhi structures like the Supreme Court, the Parliament House and the Rashtrapati Bhavan which was then occupied by the British viceroys.
The national festivals ie Republic day and Independence day are celebrated to their best in the national capital. On the Republic day the Prime Minister addresses the nation from the Red fort.The Gandhi Samadhi and the Amar Javan Jyoti are places worth visiting.
Delhi is also a heaven for foodies. It is the origin of Mughlai cuisine. The kebabs, parathas, butter chicken, tandoori, dahi wada, chole- bhature.........truly a paradise.
Delhi is the one of the best cities in the world. A blend of culture, history and politics. worth visiting at least once in lifetime.........
